Adstract Art’s design has once again been recognised on the international stage with three of our recent corporate visual identities featured in a new book, “Worldwide Identity: Inspired Design from 40 Countries” by Robert L. Peters. The hardcover book, published in the US and available throughout the world, showcases 304 identities, selected from entries from around the globe in consultation with the International Council of Graphic Design Associations.

As well as featuring three of our designs – corporate identities for Santilli Corporation, Glenmar and Grid – the book explores the process of design by defining both the brief and the solution to each, aiming, it says, “to show readers how innovative, distinctive and appropriate identities arise from designers’ thorough understanding of mandate and cultural context”. In other words, it features designs which effectively deliver what the customer wants, translated into a design that the market can understand and respond to in a positive way.

This latest recognition follows a similar honour a few years ago, when our corporate identity for Kalina Design was featured in “Global Graphics: Symbols”, a book which explores the cultural meaning of symbols in more than 40 countries and explores how the use of certain symbols influence public response.
